I am an artist deeply inspired by the natural beauty of my surroundings, a passion rooted in my childhood in rural West Sussex. Family holidays exploring Devon and Cornwall in our VW camper sparked my love for the South West, particularly the South West Coastal Path.
Now based on the stunning Hartland Peninsula, I find endless inspiration in its dramatic landscapes and the ever-changing beauty and enchantment of Docton Mill Gardens, where I also work, exhibit, and sell my creations-including originals, fine art prints, and cards.
My work is shaped by a fascination with light and shadow, bold contrasts, and a love for the unusual, mysterious, and historic. My diverse practice includes detailed drawings, vibrant acrylics, delicate watercolours and linocut prints, all exploring the textures, shapes, and colours found in nature and wildlife.
Having studied at the Newlyn School of Art, I continue to push my creative boundaries, experimenting with new techniques and mixed media. My work has been exhibited at The Castle in Bude, Art Upstairs, The Burton in Bideford, and Handmade Framing in Kilkhampton, with pieces sold internationally as far as New Zealand and Australia. I am honoured to have received multiple awards in local art competitions within a thriving artistic community.
